Contract Description:
We are seeking a talented 3D modeler to create a highly detailed and accurate model of an APC Rack PDU (Power Distribution Unit) using the GLTF/GLB format. The model will be used for a client-facing demo and must include precise details of all visible components, such as ports, buttons, and status indicators.
The 3D model needs to be organized in a way that each key part is clearly defined as a separate component within the model. This means that elements like power ports, buttons, and LEDs should be set up as individual nodes, each with descriptive metadata embedded directly in the GLTF file. This metadata will be added using the extras field and should include brief descriptions, functionality details, and unique identifiers for each component.
The model should also be structured to allow for animations in the future, making it easy to highlight different parts and showcase specific functions during the demo. While animations are not part of this initial project, the model should be designed with flexibility to accommodate them later.
Deliverables will include:
The final 3D model in GLB format.
Source files used to create the model (e.g., Blender files).
Documentation explaining the structure of the model and how the metadata is embedded.
This project is under a confidentiality agreement, so the final use case of the model will not be disclosed. We are focused on high-quality work, efficient file performance, and detailed documentation to ensure the model is ready for future interactive demos.
