We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 3D Scan Cleanup Specialist to process raw 3D scan data and prepare it for further CAD development. In this role, you will be provided with 3D scan files (OBJ format) of large furniture pieces and tasked with cleaning, smoothing, and optimizing the meshes for precision and usability. This is a fast-paced role with a focus on quick turnaround times.
Responsibilities:
Mesh Cleanup:
Smooth out raw 3D meshes while retaining accurate geometry and dimensions.
Remove noise, artifacts, and background clutter from the scans.
Optimization:
Ensure the file is lightweight and optimized for further CAD processing.
Create watertight, error-free models ready for pattern creation.
File Formatting:
Deliver cleaned files in the original OBJ format or additional formats as specified.
