Atlas Preservation is an innovative, fast growing company which specializes in conservation and restoration products relating to historic preservation.
We import, distribute and manufacture a wide range of the highest quality tools, supplies and materials selling them online and in our retail store.
The founder & CEO, Jonathan Appell is America’s foremost gravestone and monument conservation expert,
and creator of the 48 State Tour, a free national workshop tour to teach the public how to clean and preserve the carved history in memorials.
We are interested in collaborating with an experienced writer on an ongoing basis to create content and write books.
We also have numerous websites in need of new content.
We will focus on one book at a time, listed in the order of simplicity.
1) 48 State Tour Book:
Over the past 4 years the 48 State as conducted over 200 workshops in all lower 48 states.
We have 1000’s of photos and would like to include photos from each state along with the related narrative.
Comments: This is straight forward and will be a great book to create first. Possibly well suited to be a coffee table book
2) Atlas Preservation: short book or booklet
Founded in 2016
The history of creating a successful family owned growing business during uncertain economic times.
3) Gravestone & Monument Preservation Book:
This is the Holy Grail project, longer term and more complicated.
I have all the knowledge, all the content, videos to help and photos.
I have been asked to create this book for over a decade.
4) Jonathan Appell:Autobiography
A life of building and fixing everything and traveling the entire USA to teach others related skills to help preserve America’s past.
In additional restoring American landmarks like the “Knights Tomb: possibly the oldest gravestone in America at Jamestown, VA.
