Experienced interior designer needed for an events rental space under construction (weddings, corporate events, birthdays/entertainment, etc.). The total area is 750 square meters, containing a large courtyard and a U-shaped building. The venue is located in West Africa and the equipment/materials will be purchased in China. The owner is an individual with a limited budget. The designer should aim to use materials/equipment that are affordable yet visually and functionally impactful. Value for money is a key driver for the materials and equipment that will be used.
In addition to the usual deliverables, the interior designer will also provide the list of all the materials and equipment to be purchased in China, including quantities, specifications and characteristics.
There is no fully-fledged interior design brief to start with. The selected designer will receive architect drawings and Google Earth coordinates of the venue location. Then must communicate with the client to flesh out the brief step-by-step. It is important to ask all the clarifying questions needed before starting the design work. After gaining a full understanding of the work expected, the designer will need to make a fixed price bid.
Prior experience with commercial real estate, particularly hospitality, food retail and events, is a must. Kindly share samples of similar work you have done, as well as the structure of equipment/materials list that accompanies the designs.
