Virtual Assistant Needed for Post-Conviction Relief Support for Federal Inmate (Corporate Financial Crime Case)
Job Description:
We are a Virtual Assistant company supporting thousands of Federal Prison inmates with both automated and human-assisted services. We are seeking a Virtual Assistant to help a specific client—a former corporate executive convicted of a corporate financial crime—with his post-conviction relief efforts. This role has the potential to evolve into a regular weekly position, with up to 20 hours of work per week.
Role Responsibilities:
The selected Virtual Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our client’s legal and administrative needs. Responsibilities include:
Researching and connecting with qualified lawyers, paralegals, and prisoner assistance services that specialize in corporate financial crimes and post-conviction relief.
Communicating with legal professionals on behalf of the client, including sending documents, following up on their interest, availability, and rates.
Maintaining organized, consistent communication to keep legal matters on track, even with limited direct client communication.
Adapting to the needs of the case, staying proactive, and managing communications independently.
Requirements:
We’re looking for someone who:
Is fluent in English and highly professional in written and verbal communication
Demonstrates tenacity and thoroughness in following tasks to completion
Possesses a keen sense for identifying unreliable responses or vague information
Works independently and can take initiative with limited supervision
Is comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information, especially on corporate-related cases
Potential for Role Expansion:
This role is intended to grow into a regular, weekly position of up to 20 hours per week. We envision this as an ongoing partnership for the right candidate who can consistently manage tasks, build rapport with legal contacts, and assist in keeping our client’s legal matters organized.
About the Client:
Our client is a former corporate executive serving time for a non-violent corporate financial crime—a complex case with unique legal and ethical considerations.
How to Apply:
If you’re detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage professional communications autonomously, please apply with examples of your experience, especially any independent work similar to this role. We value tenacity, attention to detail, and professionalism, with the intent to offer a consistent weekly workload if you’re the right fit.
