Our Real Estate Investment & Development Company is seeking a seasoned Attorney to join our team. Interested candidates should have at least three years of civil litigation experience in business litigation and/or commercial real estate law, with a track record of successfully handling complex cases. This role requires extensive experience in litigation, and a deep understanding of legal principles. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in Texas. This is a remote position, but candidates must live near Houston, Texas in order to be able to attend court appearances and depositions as needed.
Responsibilities of the Attorney:
* Managing litigation cases across various practice areas
* Developing and implementing case strategies that align with team goals
* Overseeing discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation
* Represent the company and it’s subsidiaries in mediations, arbitrations, conferences, depositions, administrative hearings, and court proceedings
* Negotiating settlements and alternative dispute resolutions.
* Providing guidance on legal strategies, and case management
* Independently negotiate, draft, and/or revise all manner of corporate and commercial agreements (e.g., vendor, system, or customer) and other legal documents.
* Develop and improve agreement templates, transaction workflows and processes
* Business development and expansion
* Collection activity to include filing liens
* Client dispute resolution
