About Veriswap
We are Veriswap (veriswap.com), a marketplace for swapping sports cards. We are currently looking for an experienced full stack mobile developer. You will work towards the development of our mobile app using React Native, and backend codebase using NestJS. We have a fleshed out product, but are looking to add another developer to speed up the process and make further improvements to the platform.
Additional Details
-The app uses React Native for the frontend and Node.js (specifically NestJS) on the backend.
-This is a remote, work from home position as part-time contractor.
-You will get start at 20 hours per week (part-time), with the ability to scale up to 40 hours per week depending on performance

-Must be available for 2 weekly 30 minute meetings at 9am EST
-This is an independent contractor position and no company equipment or expense-reimbursement is offered.
Responsibilities:
-Write clean frontend code in React Native using Typescript
-Confidently architect SQL data structures and backend infrastructure in NestJS
-Write clean code in Typescript using NextJS as the framework.
-Architect database schemas for PostgreSQL database to efficiently store large amounts of data.
-Be involved in conversations surrounding product and strategy.
-A solid understanding of security, scalability, and efficiency for backend infrastructure.
-Positive, open-minded, and collaborative with strong self-management skills.
-Collaborate with multiple team members in English.
-Participate in team meetings 2x a week (9am EST, Mon / Thur).
Requirements:
-A bachelor’s degree is not required, but a strong portfolio / GitHub is a must.
-Be able to create high-quality code.
-Understanding of React components, hooks, lifecycle methods, DOM manipulation.
-A solid understanding of UI design, usability, security and accessibility.
-Positive, open-minded, and collaborative with strong self-management skills.
-Understanding of Agile, Design Patterns, Object-Oriented Design.
-Understanding of REST API’s.
-Hands-on experience with GitHub (pull requests, branches, commits…).
Experience:
-App development using React Native + Typescript: 3 years+
-Backend experience using NestJS: 3 years+
-PostgreSQL: 3 years+
-Typescript: 2 years+
-Google Cloud Run, Google Cloud SQL, GCP: 1-2 years
-English: Read and write fluently
