We are a nonprofit organization, Mothers Against Addiction (MAA), seeking an experienced volunteer Web Developer to maintain and update the MAA website. This part-time, fully remote position is ideal for a passionate and skilled web developer looking to make a meaningful impact in the non-profit sector.
Key Responsibilities:
● Website Maintenance and Development:
Maintain and update the MAA website to ensure smooth functionality, security, and accessibility.
Develop new features or sections as needed to enhance user experience and align with organizational goals.
● Design Optimization:
Improve website layout, navigation, and responsiveness for all devices.
Ensure consistent branding and a user-friendly interface.
● Content Management:
Collaborate with the content team to upload and format blog posts, resources, and announcements.
Implement SEO best practices to improve visibility and search rankings.
● Technical Support:
Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly.
Monitor site performance and implement optimizations for speed and reliability.
● Collaboration:
Work closely with the communications and marketing teams to align web content with outreach efforts.
Provide recommendations for new tools or platforms to enhance MAA’s digital presence.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Proficiency in web development languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
● Experience with website platforms like WordPress or similar CMS tools.
● Basic knowledge of SEO and web analytics (Google Analytics experience is a plus).
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to creating a polished user experience.
● Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a remote environment.
● Passion for MAA’s mission and the ability to dedicate 5-10 hours per week.
