As we prepare to bring these products to market, we are seeking a skilled Cosmetic Chemist to join our team and play a key role in developing high-quality formulations that reflect our commitment to excellence and innovation.
Job Summary
The Cosmetic Chemist will lead the formulation, testing, and refinement of our initial product line. This role requires expertise in skincare product development, a deep understanding of natural and sustainable ingredients, and the ability to create formulations that comply with industry regulations. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a passion for innovation, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and formulate skincare products, including ozonated oils, lotions, and creams, ensuring stability, efficacy, and safety.
Research and source high-quality, natural, and sustainable raw materials, with a focus on compatibility with ozonation processes.
Conduct stability, compatibility, and efficacy testing for all formulations.
Collaborate with the production team to scale formulations for manufacturing.
Ensure all products comply with FDA, GMP, and other relevant regulations.
Document formulation processes, maintain detailed lab notes, and create technical data sheets (TDS).
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging ingredients, and new formulation techniques.
Assist in troubleshooting and improving existing formulations based on customer feedback and testing results.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in skincare or personal care product formulation.
Strong understanding of natural and organic skincare ingredients and their interactions.
Experience with ozonated oils or similar formulations is a plus.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP, etc.) for cosmetics and personal care products.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and documentation.
