Communication Access Real-Time (CART) Services:
In-person CART providers must be residing within 30 miles of Pentagon or Mark Center – Virginia.
The CART provider must hold relevant certifications in providing CART services.
The CART provider must possess a Secret clearance to access the Pentagon. Virtual interpreters are not required to possess secret clearance.
The CART provider will provide real-time translation of spoken words into text with an accuracy rate of at least 99%. The text should be displayed on a screen, monitor, or personal device in a format that is easy to understand and read.
