Editorial Manager to supervise the content part of book publishing projects.
NATIVE ENGLISH level Only.
Profile I’m looking for someone with those key 2 competences :
1/ Avide reader of non-fiction books and talented in providing editorial feedbacks to make the content better.
Rigorous and attention to details, Academic minded, (PLUS if literature background & writing-editing experience)
2/ Reliable project management skills to be able to brief and follow-up on team members
Great communication and people management skills. Proactive, autonomous and solution-oriented
Position: Part time for now, ranging between 10-25h per week.
Can become full time with +30h per week.
Tasks
– Book Project Management: Supervize the editorial side of the book production from making the outlines, to formatting of the manuscript into a book (YOU won’t be the writer, but supervize and provide feedbacks + critics to them)
– Team Management: Follow-up and coordination of writers, providing real time feedbacks on the content delivered
– Report the progress of each project (one 30-min meeting per week)
– Can also be involved in outlines creation, content research.. depending on skills.
Projects / Topics (Content mostly in US English)
– Language learning for beginners (SP, FR, IT, EN)
– Legal business books
– We usually have between 6 to 8 on-going book projects (will be at 10-12 next year)
Salary
– Hourly, to be discussed. Will depend on experience and profile.
This position is only open to Oceania, Asia, Europe.
NOT to North-center-south America (because of timezone difference)
Spanish Language skills is a PLUS, let me know if you’re speaking the language.
