Job Description:
We’re looking for a talented illustrator to create step-by-step drawing instructions for a children’s educational book targeting kids aged 8–12. This involves breaking down drawings into clear, progressive steps that children can easily follow to recreate the subject.
We will need pricing for two options:
1. Option 1: You create step-by-step drawing instructions for subjects you choose, based on themes we provide (e.g., animals, vehicles, food).
2. Option 2: We provide you with specific subjects and reference drawings, and your role will be to break these down into step-by-step instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Create 6–8 progressive steps for each subject that visually guide children in recreating the final drawing.
2. Ensure the steps are intuitive, engaging, and suitable for children aged 8–12.
3. Deliver polished black-and-white line art illustrations for each step.
Requirements:
• Strong illustration skills and experience in creating instructional or educational content.
• Ability to simplify complex drawings into easy-to-follow, progressive steps.
• Familiarity with designing content for children’s educational purposes.
• Flexibility to work on both provided and self-sourced subjects based on project needs.
Project Scope:
• Approximately 100 subjects across a variety of themes (e.g., animals, vehicles, objects).
• Each subject will require 6–8 steps to progressively complete the drawing.
• Deliverables must be in high-resolution digital format suitable for print.
Pricing Request:
We’re looking for a flat rate for:
1. Creating step-by-step instructions for your own subjects, based on themes we provide.
2. Creating step-by-step instructions for provided subjects and reference drawings, where you will break them down into steps.
