The outcome of this poc is to develop an email gateway that will provide the engine which will let us add domains to our system and then send and receive emails. This is the core engine we need. Then later we will extend to build threads and email handling functionality on top of it.
The POC needs to define the process for the onboarding of domains to our system which includes the web hosting configuration required, SSL certs and apis to add domains to gateway emails. To test this configuration we will need to provide apis to send and receive emails. For receiving the email we will need to register web hooks to the external system so email should be sent to the back end system on api.
The system should not use any DB for now, it should be hardcoded for all data. There is no DB for emails, email addresses, messages, or anything else. It is just configuring domains and sending/receiving emails. Tech stack is Java.
We don’t want to use any third party full service, and rather want to implement our own.
