We are a consumer automotive product company with mobile app enabled product in need of an experienced mobile app tester.
Responsibilities:
• Develop suite of feature and functional tests against requirements
• Coordinate with developers to access and test Android and iOS releases as they become available
• Download and flash firmware for proprietary device under test
• Execute feature, function, and regression tests and capture specific measurements associated with functioning of system
• Quiet working environment conducive to team calls
• Characterize defects and anomalies discovered while testing and identify procedures for development team to reproduce
• Document test results and defects in Jira
• Work with project leader, embedded and mobile development engineers in US and India time zones to understand functionality, and coordinate releases
• Work with development engineers to systematically troubleshoot, root cause and reproduce defects discovered, and document & report findings and status
• Track QA performance of HW and SW
• Be available to communicate and coordinate with team as needed between 7:00 PM and 12:00 AM IST, or other times as mutually agreed.
• Make recommendations for UX improvements
• Integrate Flutter builds to iOS
• Document changes
• Participate in periodic stand ups

Required Tools:
• Android phone running Android 11 or later
• iPhone with test flight
• Access to reliable PC or Mac
• Quiet working environment conducive to participating in team calls
• Reliable internet connection
• USB camera that can be positioned to share access to your desktop to faciliate troubleshooting on prototype
• Voltmeter / Ohm meter
Skills & Experience
• Experience with Google Firebase for scheduling and managing in-app messaging campaigns
• Skilled at Jira Software Project Management
• Quiet working environment conducive to team calls
• Familiarity with Flutter integration process
• Basic experience troubleshooting DC electrical circuits: voltage readings, continuity tests, soldering (preferred), wiring, ability to read schematics
• Ability to meet deadlines, communicate variances and manage expectations
• Experience with automotive technologies and electrical system a plus but not required
