Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our team.
You will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining API integrations and connector applications to expand PingBell’s reach on marketplaces such as WordPress, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Google Workspace Marketplace, and more. Your work will directly impact how PingBell integrates with the tools businesses rely on daily.
Responsibilities:
+ Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and microservices to integrate PingBell with external platforms.
+ Build custom connector applications for marketplaces, ensuring compliance with platform-specific requirements and guidelines.
+ Collaborate with product and frontend teams to create seamless integration experiences.
+ Optimize the performance and scalability of APIs and backend services.
+ Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues, providing timely fixes and updates.
+ Maintain documentation for APIs and connector apps for internal teams and external users.
+ Stay updated on platform updates and trends to ensure compatibility and feature enhancements.
+ Implement robust security practices to safeguard integrations and data.
Requirements:
Experience:
+ 3+ years as a backend developer or in a similar role.
+ Programming Languages: Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or similar backend languages.
+ APIs: Strong experience in building and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
+ Databases: Expertise in working with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
+ Cloud & Hosting: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
+ Marketplaces: Proven experience integrating with third-party platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, or Google Workspace.
+ Version Control: Proficient in Git and collaborative development practices.
+ Problem Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills.
+ Soft Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Familiarity with OAuth, webhooks, and other integration protocols.
+ Experience developing apps or plugins for specific marketplaces (e.g., WordPress plugins, Shopify apps).
+ Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for efficient development workflows.
+ Understanding of SaaS business models and customer needs.
