I am looking for an experienced BigCommerce theme developer to help make specific theme customizations for a niche e-commerce use case.
– Specific Business Case –
I am building a Sports Uniform store to sell uniforms, Fanwear and equipment to players who have registered for recreational sports. These sports leagues cover a variety of different sports, and span from youth sports through highschool, college and into semi professional leagues.
After the players register for their sports through a separate website, they will be given a password protected team store link to their specific League or Team storefront (product category link, more info below) to purchase the required uniform for the season, and optional Fan Wear (sweatshirts, hats, etc.) and equipment (Soccer balls, baseball bats, Footballs, etc.)
The store will be configured through a single master store on BigCommerce. The master product catalog will be added to the main store and unique individual product categories will be used to create individual branded team and league stores. Several different teams and leagues can offer the same or different product SKUs from the main product list.
-Needed Theme Customizations-
1. Branded Category Pages:
By default, BigCommerce themes utilize the master theme, logo, assets, etc. that is set in the master store theme settings. I am looking to customize the theme so Category pages utilize Category specific assets to theme the category (team) page.
Since Product Categories will be used to create each team store, I would like the specific team branding such as category logo, button color, font colors, etc. to be used on the store page, as opposed to the master store logo and style settings so the category / team page feels branded to the team or league. These style settings will need to be exposed on the Category settings page so they can easily be set when creating new team and league stores.
2. Password Protected Category Pages:
Since the master store will contain category pages for several hundred teams, we want to password protect each team store category page so players don’t end up on the incorrect store, or seeing other team stores that they are not affiliated with.
When teams are emailed or texted their specific category / team store link to purchase their uniform they will also be given a password to access the store. The store password settings will need to be exposed in the Category settings so admins can easily customize and change passwords for each category / team store as they are created.
