Content Brief Writer for Personal Finance Niche

We are a boutique SEO agency. The client you’ll be managing is a major figure in the entrepreneurial space with a NYT bestselling book, a YouTube channel with more than 500k subscribers, and an extremely popular personal finance podcast. We produce ~20 blog posts for them every month.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and resourceful Content Brief Writer to create comprehensive briefs for SEO blog posts in the personal finance and entrepreneurship niche. If you enjoy digging deep into research, repurposing existing content, and making writers’ lives easier, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
**Note: You will most definitely need to be an English native in order to excel in this role. A simple marker is that if you use Grammarly (or any other tool) to do your edits, you’re not fluent enough for this role.

* Create extremely detailed content briefs based on provided keywords and our established guidelines.
* Conduct thorough market research to source high-quality reference links (not just from blogs but through creative, resourceful methods).
* Repurpose content from our extensive archive of 500+ blog posts when relevant.
* Develop templates, scripts, or other tools to simplify the writer’s task.
* Collaborate with editors to refine briefs after initial reviews.

Requirements:
* General interest in personal finance and entrepreneurship topics (to better align with the content tone and quality).
* Excellent research skills with the ability to find unique and valuable references.
* Proficiency in Google Docs and basic knowledge of at least one SEO tool.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established processes.
* Ability to work asynchronously and respond to Slack messages within one business day.

We are offering anywhere between $35-$50/hr for this role, for up to 10 hours a week of work. If you are a more skilled applicant and are applying on the higher end of our range, SHOW us why in your proposal, and not just tell us something like “I have X years experience doing ABC”.
