Description:
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist for a one-time project. The task involves reviewing bank statements and categorizing transactions to ensure accurate records for tax purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
Review Bank Statements:
Analyze provided bank statements and identify transactions that qualify for tax purposes.
Categorize Transactions:
Use a predefined list of categories (e.g., travel, food, car maintenance) to categorize each transaction in a spreadsheet.
Color-Coding:
Assign a specific color code to each transaction based on its category for visual organization.
Tracking Information:
Record the bank statement source for each transaction using the last four digits of the account number.
Attention to Detail:
Ensure all transactions are categorized accurately to support tax documentation.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in data entry, bookkeeping, or similar roles.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in using spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
Familiarity with business expense categories (preferred but not required).
