Job Description:
Are you an email wizard with a deep understanding of the strategies and technical details needed to optimize deliverability, engagement, and open rates? We’re seeking an experienced Email Deliverability and Engagement Specialist to join our team and help build one of the biggest newsletters in the sneaker space. This role will focus on driving exceptional engagement, increasing open rates, and maximizing the reach of our content.
Responsibilities:
Optimize Deliverability: Ensure our emails consistently reach inboxes by managing IP reputation, applying white-labeling practices, and leveraging power-user targeting strategies.
Increase Open Rates: Use segmentation, strategic send patterns, and subject line testing to increase engagement and maintain open rates of 40%+.
Subscriber Growth and Quality: Work on subscriber acquisition strategies while protecting list quality through backend security, verification, and engagement-based list management.
Content Strategy and Testing: Test various subject lines, preview text, and send times to identify what performs best in terms of inbox placement and user engagement.
Technical Expertise: Maintain clean HTML, manage data within allowable limits, and monitor bounce rates and spam complaints.
Deliverability Best Practices: Apply knowledge of email compliance laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR), manage IP warm-up, and implement anti-bot measures to prevent list sabotage.
Requirements:
Proven experience with high-volume newsletters and demonstrated success in achieving high open and engagement rates.
Strong knowledge of email deliverability best practices, engagement strategies, and list hygiene.
Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., ActiveCampaign, Mailgun, or similar) and deliverability tools like ZeroBounce, Cloudflare, or similar anti-bot solutions.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and optimize strategies accordingly.
Passion for the sneaker or streetwear space is a plus but not required.
