Urgently looking for an expert frontend developer/engineer for our geospatial webapp. Immediate start, with potential for ongoing work after the initial project.
Core Project Scope
1. Transform existing Python geospatial analysis scripts onto frontend webapp interface
2. Implement intuitive well-designed UX/UI for controlling space-time analysis
3. Implement natural language commands for displaying analysis
4. Implement efficient data loading and caching strategies
5. Build interactive mapping features leveraging Mapbox
6. Write clean, documented code with detailed comments, collaborate with our team for integration
Desired skills from you:
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
• React.js, Next.js, GeoJSON, spatial data formats
• Mapbox GL JS for complex geospatial visualizations
• Fast data analysis loading logic implementation
• Experience working with satellite imagery and time-series data visualization
• Ability to quickly understand and work in existing code base
Should have experience with:
• Google Earth Engine JavaScript API
• Handling large geospatial datasets in frontend applications
• Time-series visualization libraries
• UX/UI optimizations
• Performance optimization for map-based applications
• API integration
• TypeScript
Bonus skills:
• Understanding of Python geospatial libraries (GeoPandas, Earth Engine, shapely)
• Experience with scientific or environmental data visualization
• Background in remote sensing or GIS
