We’re seeking a Ghost CMS developer to implement a new homepage design for our existing website, which currently uses a modified version of the Maali theme from Bright Themes. The project involves creating a new homepage while moving the current homepage content to a subpage.
Key Requirements:
– Experience with Ghost CMS (version 5.9.0 or higher)
– Proficiency with the Maali theme or similar Ghost themes
– Strong understanding of responsive design
– Experience with GitHub for version control
– Knowledge of Gulp build processes is a plus
Specific Tasks:
– Create a new custom homepage template based on provided design (PDF available)
– Implement responsive video background in hero section
– Create theme cards with background images and hover effects
– Ensure mobile responsiveness across all sections
– Configure Ghost routes to redirect current homepage to /subpage
– Maintain consistency with existing site styling and Maali theme patterns
– Update navigation and internal linking structure
Additional Details:
– Design mockups will be provided
– The site’s codebase is version controlled in GitHub
– The current theme includes Gulp tasks for CSS/JS processing
– We need to maintain existing functionality while adding new features
Deliverables:
– New homepage template file (custom-homepage.hbs)
