We are currently seeking a Consultant Engineer with a specialized focus on low-latency, high-extensibility PCIe (PCI Express) communication designs. This role involves pioneering work with host PC memory using Xilinx Virtex Ultrascale+ devices and requires hands-on experience with Vivado and AMD/Xilinx IP cores, particularly those related to QDMA or DMA PCIe subsystems.
Responsibilities:
PCIe Module Development: Design and implement a PCIe communication module that maximizes low latency and extensibility. The role requires direct coding and optimization on the Virtex Ultrascale+ platform, specifically using Vivado and related AMD/Xilinx IP cores.
High-Frequency Synthesis: Handle synthesis, placement, and routing of the module on a Virtex Ultrascale+ family FPGA, focusing on achieving high clock frequencies and optimal data throughput using specialized IP cores.
Advanced Simulation: Conduct detailed simulations of the PCIe module using the Xilinx Vivado Xsim tool, focusing on innovative approaches to PCIe communication with host PC memory.
Detailed Implementation: Oversee all technical details of the project, including simulation, synthesis, and routing processes, ensuring compliance with design specifications and project goals.
Collaborative Feedback: Actively participate in team discussions to receive and implement feedback, improving the design and addressing technical challenges effectively.
Required Skills:
Deep technical expertise in FPGA development, particularly with Xilinx Virtex Ultrascale+ devices.
Extensive experience with Xilinx Vivado, especially in configuring and optimizing AMD/Xilinx IP cores related to QDMA or DMA PCIe subsystems.
Strong background in hardware module design, focusing on PCIe communication and high-frequency operations.
Proficient in technical problem-solving, with a commitment to hands-on coding and iterative design improvements.
Ability to work independently as a focused individual contributor while being receptive to feedback and collaborative input.
