We are a growing home health organization seeking a Home Health Billing Specialist to manage all aspects of our billing cycle. This is a long-term position requiring approximately 30 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Submit and process claims using WellSky/Kinnser
• Handle billing follow-up, including denials, re-submissions, and appeals
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
• Track and manage aging accounts receivable
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
• Collaborate with our internal team
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all claims
Requirements:
• Proven experience in home health billing
• Proficiency with WellSky/Kinnser (or similar platforms)
• Ability to work 30 hours per week on a flexible schedule
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal staff
• Comfort with long-term engagement and the ability to manage ongoing billing needs
NICE-TO-HAVE (but not required):
• Familiarity with Medicare and other payer guidelines
• Background in medical billing or coding
• Experience with additional home health billing/EMR systems
