Are you ready to transform an existing commercial space into a vibrant indoor playground? We are seeking a talented and creative interior designer with architectural expertise to design and fit-out plans for an exciting new project located on the first and basement floors of a former dance studio.
**Project Scope:**
The project encompasses the renovation of a space measuring approximately 17 feet wide by 48 feet long, and includes the following key features:
**First Floor:**
– Design and install a new opening for a communicating stair.
– Create a welcoming entry area with seating for parents, stroller/shoe/coat storage, and a coffee station.
– Establish a front desk for sock purchases and check-in.
– Develop interactive “stations” for children aged toddler to 5 years, including themed areas such as a kitchen, doctor’s office, veterinarian, salon, dress-up corner, and a Lego/construction zone.
– Design a gated area specifically for toddlers to ensure their safety and containment.
– Incorporate a lofted slide for added fun and excitement.
**Basement:**
– Demolish the current storage room at the front of the building (keeping half) to enhance natural light from the existing window well.
– Design and install a rock climbing wall and monkey bars for physical activity.
– Create a ball pit for play and enjoyment.
– Incorporate muscle movement activities to encourage physical development.
– Provide custom millwork details as required throughout the project.
**Process:**
Our design process is structured in a series of phases to ensure we accurately assess your needs and define the scope of work. This methodical approach includes several milestones, guaranteeing that the final design aligns with your vision.
**Pre-Design Phase:**
The project will commence with a thorough site survey of the building to measure and document the existing conditions. This will result in a comprehensive set of as-built documents, laying the groundwork for the design phase. Owners will provide this.
