We’re looking for a talented Game Art Designer to join our team and help bring our Japanese learning platform to life! Kojo Japanese is an immersive, gamified experience where cyberpunk meets 90s nostalgia, designed to make learning Japanese both fun and engaging.
Responsibilities:
・Design a game map on a grid system with a polished, sophisticated aesthetic that aligns with our site’s theme.
・Create characters and other visuals that blend futuristic and traditional Japanese cultural elements with a cyber aesthetic.
・Develop high-quality artwork that integrates seamlessly with our retro gaming-inspired design and neon-night aesthetic.
・Collaborate with the team to ensure visuals enhance the user’s learning experience.
Requirements:
・Proven experience in creating game art or similar visual assets.
・Strong understanding of Japanese culture and traditional motifs.
・Ability to balance fun, engaging visuals with a slightly high-end aesthetic.
・Familiarity with mobile-first design principles.
・Open to feedback and committed to delivering unique, immersive designs.
