Project Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Import/Export Compliance Specialist to oversee a one-time import of our pet food supplements (5-6 products) to the USA. This is a time-limited project requiring expertise in navigating US import regulations, particularly those related to pet food supplement products.
Responsibilities:
Regulatory Assessment:
– Conduct a thorough assessment of US import regulations, including FDA, APHIS, and USDA requirements, as they pertain to our specific product.
– Identify necessary permits, licenses, and certifications required for importation.
Documentation Preparation:
– Help in prep of all required documentation, including customs declarations, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
Customs Clearance:
– Liaise with customs brokers to ensure smooth customs clearance and minimize potential delays.
– Address any customs queries or issues that may arise during the import process.
Labeling Compliance:
– Ensure compliance with post-import requirements, such as labeling and packaging regulations.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of US import regulations, especially those related to food and agricultural products.
Experience in preparing import documentation and customs clearance procedures.
Attention to detail and ability to work under stress.
