What We’re Looking For:
A skilled Shopify Developer with at least 4 years of experience in platform development and migrations.
A proven portfolio showcasing past projects, particularly migrations and integrations (details can be anonymized if under NDA).
Expertise in Shopify platform features, customizations, theme development, and optimization.
Proficiency in merging multiple websites into one cohesive platform while maintaining functionality and design integrity.
A proactive and results-driven approach to problem-solving and project management.
Current Opportunity:
We have an urgent project for one of our US-based clients who specializes in custom-built bikes and cars. They are consolidating their products and websites into a single Shopify platform. This project involves platform migration, seamless integration of existing sites, and ensuring a smooth user experience.
The first phase of the project is expected to run for 3 months, with the possibility of extension for an additional 3 months based on progress and client requirements.
Hiring Process:
1. Introduction Call
Meet with our General Manager to discuss:
Your hourly rate, location, and availability.
Your ability to attend client calls if required.
An introduction to Skaal and the project.
2. Technical Deep Dive
Join a second call with our CTO to:
Share and discuss your portfolio or demonstrate your skills through alternative means if under NDA.
Answer technical questions to assess your expertise in Shopify development and platform migrations.
What to Prepare:
A detailed resume highlighting:
The types of Shopify projects you’ve worked on (e.g., “Migrated a multi-site e-commerce platform for a high-end fashion retailer”).
Specific tasks and responsibilities you handled.
Tools, platforms, and technologies you are proficient in.
A portfolio of past work or proven examples of your skills (if NDA-restricted, be prepared to discuss in detail or complete a short evaluation task).
Note:
Candidates must be available to work during US Pacific or Central business hours to align with client schedules and project requirements. EU-based candidates must be able to work late afternoons to early mornings, aligning with US time zones.
