Our acting studio is searching for a skilled, experienced Virtual Billing Specialist who will play a vital role in supporting our students and staff. By maintaining spot-on accuracy and attention to detail in billing, you’ll help our students focus on their growth in their craft.

Position Details
Hours: Expect 1-4 hours of work most weeks.
Flexibility: Work can be done on your own schedule, but we need someone who can typically complete tasks within 48 hours of assignment (same-day completion is a bonus!). However, the candidate must be available at least in part, during Pacific Standard Time hours to make and field billing-related calls and emails.
Start Date: Immediate.
Your Role
As our Billing Specialist, you will:
Charge students on automatic payment plans for monthly tuition.
Reach out to students and parents to collect past-due payments via phone and email.
Process payments for private coaching sessions.
Record payments submitted through Venmo, PayPal, cash, check, etc.
Send secure links to students for updating credit card information in our CRM system (Infusionsoft).
Track discounts and different tuition rates for new students.
Monitor delinquent payments, apply late fees, and follow up until balances are cleared.
Calculate tuition for classes of varying durations.
Provide invoices and answer billing-related questions for students.
Submit periodic billing reports.
Track payments authorized by charter schools and follow up until payments are received.
What We’re Looking For
Exceptional Math Skills: Comfort and accuracy with numbers and calculations are a must.
Top-Tier Communication Skills: You’ll handle sensitive payment discussions with students via email and phone, balancing firmness with positivity.
Experience in Billing/Accounting: References required.
Reliability and Trustworthiness: We’re looking for someone who can work independently and maintain high standards of confidentiality.
Native English Speaker/Writer: Clear and professional communication is essential.
