We’re a web development startup that is out to productize WordPress websites, and empower micro business owners and solopreneurs to maintain and grow their own websites.
You will be the first full time hire at the business, and you have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping our processes, client experiences, and product development. That must excite you, or it’s probably not a good fit.
We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Full-Stack Web Developer with expertise in Breakdance Builder. In this role, you will:
– Build and customize client websites using Breakdance Builder
– Collaborate with the founder to develop our templated system to efficiently produce websites at scale for different industries
– Provide direct support and guidance to our client community by answering questions and solving technical challenges
-Record and deliver screen-share videos to train clients on using their websites
-Collaborate with the founder to influence product evolution and improve development workflows

Requirements:
Technical Skills
– Strong Proficiency in Breakdance Builder (required).
– Strong understanding of WordPress, JavaScript, PHP, and CSS.
– Experience with early stage companies is a plus.
Soft Skills
– Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Comfortable recording and delivering clear and engaging screen-share tutorials.
– Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Ok, let’s be real, I am the founder writing this. You will be along on a journey with me, and we need to ensure it’s a good fit.
I have successfully founded two companies to date, a web development agency, and most recently an escape room I sold after 5 years of profitable business.
I am passionate about building websites and small business, and I am determined to help small business owners have successful first years in business through awesome websites. In the US, 20% of businesses fail in the first year, and 45% by year two. We aim to cut those numbers in half for our customers.

This is for a full-time role with guaranteed 40 hours a week, not contract work.
